Route: Mt. Huron Trail

Perhaps the most technical part of the day was getting up the access road to the 4WD trailhead, as there were rocks sticking up, a stream crossing, and a mud pit to contend with. Thank gosh for rental trucks.

The initial part of the ascent was in the woods, where I noted some recently installed steps.

Climbing above treeline, the terrain coated with plenty of wildflowers. As the ascent continued up switchbacks and generally decent footing, snow was visible (though none was encountered on the trail).

The last stretch of trail was the only portion with any sort of exposure, but nothing too bad. Excellent views from the summit prior to the masses arriving.
