The Round Mountain Trail
Route: Round Mountain Trail, Rock Castle Loop, bushwhack
Trails had some areas of minor mud and running water from the heavy early morning rains. The 'Rock Castle' was pretty neat - basically a cliff/large rock slide. Multiple nice viewpoints from the trails, reaching all the way to Mt. Washington. From the height of land on the Rock Castle Trail, we bushwhacked up to the summit in fairly open woods (though we had to skirt around a cliffband). While the summit was wooded, it appears there could be some views if one were to continue northwest.
Weather was much nicer than forecasted with mostly sunny skies.

Directions to trailhead: From near the Route 5 and 35 junction in Albany, take Hunts Corner Road southeast. The Round Mountain Trail trailhead and parking lot will soon be on the left.
