Location mapSummary
Black Snoot is a scenic subpeak of Mt. Shaw. It's not named on official topographical maps (though some historic maps have it labelled as "Black Snoot"), however it is recognized by the Lakes Region Conservation Trust as "Black Snout." It shouldn't be confused with Black Snout Mountain, which is located on the north side of the range.

Trails
A well preserved carriage road, the Black Snout Spur Trail, ascends to the summit of Black Snoot. The Banana, Thunderbird, and Mt. Shaw trails all climb to within a fraction of a mile of the Black Snoot summit.
