Route: Cotton Mountain Trail

First portion of the trail had a nice snowshoe track aerated by a dedicated postholer who stopped at the field.

The next section had seen no use since the Saturday night storm, resulting in a few inches of fluffy powder on top of the previous footbed. Soon thereafter, some snowshoe tracks joined from the south, all the way to the summit vista (technically the Cotton Mountain highpoint is a trailless peak). No tracks heading northbound on Crawford Ridgepole.

Overall, snowpack was probably 2-3 feet.

Cold start at -14F, but fortunately no winds.
