Heading up to the Great Hill summit It was a pretty crummy day for hiking, but some blokes wanted me to show them where Great Hill was, so that was what I did. This was my first hike out since the quasi-knee-agony on Chocorua just about a week earlier - due to rest and a short hike, it seemed alright. All of the snow was gone and the leaves were finally out - a big difference since I last summitted this small hill a month earlier. Directions to trailhead: Take Great Hill Road from Tamworth Village. Parking area a few miles up once road turns to dirt. Trail to firetower starts at orange gate on uphill side of parking area.
