The Reel Brook Trail provided generally good footing up to above Old Kinsman Notch. From there, we dropped into the notch, from where there were excellent views courtesy the high tension power lines. The trail then dropped to the new Eliza Brook Shelter area, then crossed a stream and ascended with decent footing along some small pools and cascades. Things became a bit more steep and rough on the way to Harrington Pond and then above it to South Kinsman (with a few minor scrambles), however the views were quite nice along the way.
