About

Mt. Livermore
Holderness, NH

Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below.
Old Mountain Road near the junction with Crawford Ridgepole Trail
Old Mountain Road near the junction with Crawford Ridgepole Trail

Route: Old Mountain Road, Crawford-Ridgepole Trail, (Mt. Livermore), Crawford-Ridgepole Trail, Old Mountain Road

Temperatures didn't appear to dip below freezing last night, so the snowpack never set up after yesterday's thaw. Old Mountain Road was getting sloppy early this morning, and Crawford Ridgepole southbound not far behind it...packed snow was an inch deep with lots of slush and mud poking through (appears the ground is thawed underneath the snowpack in places). Untouched snowpack is probably down to about 3" now. Once it gets below freezing, light traction will probably be a good idea. There was also a snowshoe packed footbed heading northbound on Crawford Ridgepole...presumably snowshoes would be preferred for that section.
