Starr King It wasn't looking like a great afternoon weatherwise, so I headed up to check out Starr King and Waumbek. While things were somewhat sunny to begin, clouds rolled in as the hike progressed. A bit worn out from a long hike a day earlier, I was dragging as I worked my way up to Starr King. The views from the summit were okay, though a bit bland. Heading over to Waumbek, most of the Northern Presidential peaks were in the clouds. Back on Starr King, I had some nice views, thanks to the interesting lighting and cloud cover. Descending, I had to give in and put on the headlamp just prior to reaching the hardwood glades.
