Looking down the trail to the Page Hill ledges With nice afternoon weather, I needed to get out and stretch my legs and test my recently rebuilt snowshoes. Since I didn't have enough time to get to Great Hill, I decided to head up Page Hill. The carriage road up to the ledges was sort of broken out with varying sets of snowshoe and bareboot tracks. As I climbed, I could see the sun setting through the trees. The views from the ledges were excellent - the Sandwich Range was seen with clarity. Unfortunately, the sun isn't quite setting far enough north, so I was only able to get partial views of the color. Nonetheless, it was a nice display. Toward the end of the high point of this road, on the left side there is a break in the stonewall and an old dirt road through it. There is some room to park on Page Hill Road's right hand shoulder.
