The Mahican-Mohawk Trail near Clark Mountain

Summary
The Mahican-Mohawk Trail, located in Western Massachusetts, is in the process of being restored to a full length trail. Multiple segments currently exist, including one following an abandoned railroad (part way through South River State Forest) from Deerfield to Shelburne. Another section passes through the Mohawk Trail State Forest, just north of Clark Mountain and Todd Mountain. There is also access to the trail from North Adams.

Future expansions include southern Vermont and New York, making a connection between the Hudson and Connecticut Rivers.
