Route: Dicey Mill Trail, Tom Wiggins Trail, Blueberry Ledge Trail, Rollins Trail, (Mt. Whiteface), Rollins Trail, Dicey Mill Trail, (Mt. Passaconaway), Walden Trail, East Loop, Dicey Mill Trail

With bad weather approaching, I decided to try and do the Whiteface-Passaconaway loop during a brief window of partly cloudy skies.

For the ascent, I decided to take the Tom Wiggins Trail. While the trail was a bit mucky on either end of the water crossing, the crossing itself was nonetheless rock hoppable. Above there, the Tom Wiggins Trail was in decent shape - I don't find it that much more challenging than the nearby portion of the Blueberry Ledge Trail, though I would not want to descend it.

After climbing up the ledges and taking in the views from the south peak for a few minutes, I worked my way over the summit of Whiteface and over to Passaconaway. While high peaks to the west and north were in the clouds, there was still plenty to see from both near-summit vistas.

The descent, albeit a bit dull, fortunately wasn't buggy. Back at Ferncroft, I was able to get a look at some sunset colors overhead as I reached the parking lot.
