1931 AMC White Mountain Guide
From Squam Lake via White Trail
The White Trail from Carnes Cove crosses Squam Range N. of the Mountain road. Leaving the highway at the Willoughby farm (also known as the Horace Bennett place), it follows a farm-road ¼ m. to a sap house, and then by road and bridle-path continues over the divide, down the W. side, and crossing “New Discovery” highway leads through the woods to the Blue Trail, which is followed to the summit.
Distances. To the ridge of Squam Range 1 m.; to Blue Trail 2 ¼ m.; to summit 4 ¼ m. |
