Route: Speck Pond Trail, Mahoosuc Trail, Old Speck Trail, (Old Speck), Old Speck Trail, Mahoosuc Trail, May Cutoff, (Mahoosuc Arm), May Cutoff, Speck Pond Trail

Old Speck Trail was generally dry and in good shape, with occasional minor mud.

Grafton Loop was generally nice with good footing. Some extended areas of mud and/or running water - hope they get some more waterbars installed to prevent losing the otherwise nice footbed. Didn't see anyone from Old Speck down - 12+ miles on a sunny Saturday!

Sunday River Whitecap was an awesome alpine zone peak with very unique views.

All campsites on that section were vacant, and water sources were plentiful.

Navigation for the last little bit of Grafton Loop West is confusing, where it meanders through some logging roads and fields. There were generally signs, but one had to be alert.
