Summary
The Appalachain Mountain Club's New Hampshire 4,000 Foot Peaks list is the most popular hiking list in New England. In order to be on the list, a peak must a) be located in New England, b) be 4,000' above sea level, c) have at least 200' of vertical difference between it and any adjacent 4,000' peak (this rule keeps Little Haystack Mountain, for instance, off the list because it isn't 200 feet higher than the col between it and Mt. Lincoln).
Those who complete the list and adhere to the rules may apply for a patch and scroll.
