Location mapSummary
Mt. Cabot is the northernmost 4,000 foot peak in New Hampshire. Though wooded, the summit has some nearby views. There once was a wooden firetower located near the Cabot Cabin.

Summit Elevation
4,170 feet

Summit Facilities

Trails
Mt. Cabot is most commonly ascended via Bunnell Notch, from the York Pond fish hatchery west of Berlin. The Unknown Pond Trail is also used, usually from the fish hatchery. In the summer months, others may ascend from the Mill Brook side of the Unknown Pond Trail (road closed in the off season).

Though once a popular route, the Mt. Cabot Trail from the west is technically closed to all use. In recent years, some hikers attempting to use this abandoned trail have encountered property access issues.
