About

Mt. Hale
Bethlehem, NH

Mt. Hale as seen from Mt. Oscar
Mt. Hale as seen from Mt. Oscar

Location mapSummary
Mt. Hale was at one point home to a fire tower. The only limited views from the summit are seen from the top of a pile of rocks. Contrary to public belief, the mountain is not named after actor Alan Hale Jr., but rather Reverend Edward Everett Hale.

Due to the seasonal closures of Zealand Road and Haystack Road, Mt. Hale becomes more difficult to access in winter.

Summit Elevation
4,054 feet

Summit Facilities
None.
