About

Mt. Race
Mount Washington, MA

Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below. "Summit" photos may in fact not be at the actual summit - but instead at the best nearby vista.

Mt. Race as seen from Mt. Everett

Summary
Mt. Race is a neat place, as it has an alpine zone feel at the summit - lots of bare ledges, small trees/shrubs, and panoramic views. Though on the Appalachian Trail, it doesn't seem to be too well known, as it's overshadowed by its larger, overrated neighbor to the north. The summit elevation is 2,365 feet.

Summit Facilities
None.
