Early morning look down the trail to Great Hill
I had planned on doing a larger hike on this day, but between a late Red Sox game and a last minute bad weather forecast, I decided to get up early and do a sunrise hike on Great Hill.
What a nice morning too - the forecasted clouds and chance of rain never came. The birds were busy while the sun slowly made its way up a bank of clouds to the east.
My next Great Hill assignment will be to see a sunset.

Directions to trailhead: Take Great Hill Road from Tamworth Village. Parking area a few miles up once road turns to dirt. Trail to firetower starts at orange gate on uphill side of parking area.
