Looking up the High Watch Trail Route: High Watch Trail With a later than planned start, I headed over to Green Mountain for a relatively quick jog. While much of the area was a bit past peak in terms of foliage, the lower High Watch Trail still featured many green leaves. After reaching the summit, I climbed up the tower in rather windy conditions. While there is still plenty to see in most directions, the views to the White Mountains from the top deck (below the closed cab) continue to diminish due to encroaching tree growth.
