Route: Ski trails, herd path, bushwhack, (Green Peak), herd path, ski trails, Sosman Trail, (Mt. Tecumseh), Sosman Trail, Mt. Tecumseh Trail, ski trails

Ski trails were a little wet mid afternoon due to a passing shower, but increasingly dry thereafter.

Opted for a last minute side trip to Green Peak (2,862'), which is slated for future ski development. I picked up an old bootleg ski trail where the access road starts to cut southwest from Valley Run. This trail initially climbed up some glades, but then seemed to very gradually climb a contour northeast, but not fast enough for my liking, so I eventually bushwhacked up (rather thick in a few places...lots of flagging tape from surveying) to the wooded summit, which has lots of flagging tape and spray paint from the USFS and Waterville Valley. From there, I followed another bootleg ski trail down the ridge, out to the col above the South Street ski trail. No redeeming qualities about this peak at the moment, but it was need to see it prior to whenever the trails get cut.

Sosman Trail and Mt. Tecumseh Trail were generally dry.

Neat moonrise while descending the ski trails this evening.
