Route: Stray Cat, Middle Polecat, Upper Polecat, Wildcat Ridge Trail, (Wildcat D), Wildcat Ridge Trail, Upper Polecat, Middle Polecat, Stray Cat

With not too much time, I decided to head up to Pinkham Notch and hike up Wildcat. I had considered this to be a fallback-bigger-hike for some time, and that time was now.

I was surprised to see a decent amount of vehicles in the parking lot considering it was midweek after bad weather. Nonetheless, the skiing looked great.

The trails were groomed, making for easy snowshoeing. Above the top of the quad, no one had been up the Wildcat Ridge Trail in some time. The ice in the trees up high was very scenic with the sun.

The views from the top were strong, as the snowpack elevated my line of sight above the shorter trees. In addition, the viewpoint to the south and east along the Wildcat Ridge Trail was also very strong.
