Route: Red Trail, West Peak Trail, Summit Trail, (Burke Mountain), Summit Trail, ski trails

A nice, quiet walk up to the West Peak, with not so much as a hint of the nearby ski area up to that point. Hazy views due to hot temperatures and Canadian wildfire smoke.

Busier on the summit with the auto road open and crews installing a wind turbine.

Descent down the ski trails (not on bike trails, as those are closed to foot traffic) wasn't a great idea at this point in the year due to very tall grass and weeds.
