Looking up the Jockey Cap Trail

Since I was in the area, I decided to head over to Jockey Cap for a quick sunset hike. Despite morning downpours, the trail had dried out pretty well and the skies had started to clear. The ledgy area near the top of the trail was still a bit wet, though.
The views from the summit were quite good - nice weather down south and still some rough looking weather up north. The clouds were a bit too thick to the west to produce much in way of sunset views, however.

Directions to trailhead: Take US Route 302 East into Fryeburg. Just a bit after the village, the Jockey Cap Country Store and Motel will be on the left. At the furthest end of the parking lot near the motel, there's a sign for the Jockey Cap Trail. There are a few parking spaces labelled for the trail there.
