The Mohawk ski trail
In the middle of a small snow storm, I decided to hike Mt. Institute. While it was nice to finally be outside during a snowstorm in this mild season, I quickly realized it brought for a disadvantage - the snow covered mud and ice was hard to identify. Nonetheless, the cold temperatures made the hike a refreshing one.

Directions to trailhead: Take South River Road east from Route 8A, then take a right onto Thunder Mountain Road. Park in the large parking lot.
