Route: Ski trails, spur trail, Holts Ledge Trail, (Holts Ledge), Holts Ledge Trail, spur trail, ski trails

When handed lemons (having to get up around 430AM for a business trip), sometimes it's nice to make lemon iced tea (sunrise hike on the way).

Brisk weather to start - temperatures in the teens - but quickly generated body heat by jogging up the Dartmouth Skiway Holts Ledge ski trails. Hopped onto the spur path at the top of the chairlift and headed over to the cliff viewpoint to watch the sunrise. Found the initial viewpoint to be the best, as the upper viewpoints include the Spanish Imposition (ie the Groton Windfarm).

Continued up the AT to the highpoint after the sunrise, then retraced my steps back down the trail and then down the ski trails.

Mostly dry trail with occasional small patches of avoidable black ice.
