Mt. Livermore
Holderness, NH
Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below.

The Crawford Ridgepole Trail
Route: Old Mountain Road, Crawford-Ridgepole Trail, (Mt. Livermore), Crawford-Ridgepole Trail, Old Mountain Road
After today's forecasted 70 degree highs, this western approach will probably a good idea to avoid for awhile due to the spring melt. Old Mountain Road had spring snow and blue ice on it around sunrise this morning and was best done with snowshoes, as the mud and running water is lurking just below. It will become a nasty, muddy mess very soon.
Crawford Ridgepole Trail initially alternated between bare ground and blue ice, but quickly transitioned back to full snowpack after the first pitch. There's still about two feet of snow in the stone wall section, but the actual summit clearing is bare due to direct sun exposure.
