Looking up the Mt. Major Trail
Route: Mt. Major Trail, (Mt. Major), Brook Trail
One of the first decent looks at the sun in about two weeks, the Mt. Major Trail was somewhat crowded and quite slippery (thanks to the recent rain and excessive humidity). The Brook Trail had a lot of mud and running water, as well as some tricky water crossings.

Directions to trailhead: Take Route 11 West (north in reality) from Alton Bay. Parking lot and trailhead are on the left after the blasted out section of Route 11.
