Route: York Pond Trail, Kilkenny Ridge Trail, bushwhack, (Terrace Mountain), spur trail, Kilkenny Ridge Trail, bushwhack, Kilkenny Ridge Trail, (North Weeks), Kilkenny Ridge Trail, (Middle Weeks), Kilkenny Ridge Trail, (South Weeks), Kilkenny Ridge Trail, (Middle Weeks), Kilkenny Ridge Trail, (North Weeks), Kilkenny Ridge Trail, York Pond Trail

Not as much snow here as down south, but enough for us to wear snowshoes the whole day.

York Pond Trail broken out nicely yesterday. Smooth sailing on snowshoes. Maybe 8" of snowpack in the woods.

Once in the col, we headed north toward Terrace, but found the trail hard to follow due to minimal blazing, open woods, and blowdown. We had the trail for maybe half to two thirds of the ascent. Our tracks meander a lot in places where we were attempting trailfinding, but in the end the woods were open enough that we tended to abandon that and just bushwhack. Nice views from the southern viewpoint if you drop down a little. Snowpack up to a foot deep.

Kilkenny Ridge Trail over the Weeks was also broken out yesterday and must have been a bear in terms of route finding, as sections of trail are heavily clogged by blowdown. Snowpack was a little as three inches in places.

No sign of traffic heading south from South Weeks or north from South Terrace.
