Looking down the trail to Ensign Peak
Route: Unnamed trail
With the forecasted showers still remaining to the south, I opted to do a second after work jog. After driving a series of roads up the hill from the Capitol, I soon found myself at Ensign Peak Nature Park.
The trail started on the right side of the initial park and ascended fairly gradually up the the peak, making use of switchbacks in some of the steeper areas. The summit provided excellent views of Salt Lake City and the surrounding area.
