Wrights Mountain
Bradford, VT
Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below.
Looking up the Wrights Mountain Trail
Route: Wrights Mountain Trail, Appreciation Way
Very nice network of trails with some good directional views up high.
Ascended Wrights Mountain Trail, which is essentially an old Jeep road. Generally a dusting of snow with a little bit of blue ice about halfway up. I was able to ascend without Microspikes. Had I descended that section, I may have considered them.
Nice directional "bench" view of Moosilauke prior to the summit.
The Wrights Mountain Trail passes just west of the highpoint.
A little past the highpoint, there is an open air cabin built on a ledge. Fantastic views ranging from the southwest to the northwest from the ledge and the cabin.
I took Appreciation Way for the descent, which was more of a foot path and as a result, had minimal ice.

The Wrights Mountain Trail trailhead
Looking northwest toward the mountains in Groton State Forest from the Wrights Mountain ledges
Directions to trailhead: Take Route 25 northwest from Bradford, then take a right onto Wrights Mountain Road. The parking lot and trailhead will eventually be on the right, adjacent to the height of land on the north side of the mountain.
