Winn Mountain
Lyndeborough, NH
Trailheads, measurements, times, distances, and maps are all approximate and relative to the hike(s) as shown below.
The last portion of trail/road near the summit of Winn Mountain
Route: Woods roads
Woods roads were mostly dry and in good shape. A few short stretches of ice on the summit ledges, but avoidable. Nice route for trail jogging. Excellent views in just about all directions from the ledgy summit.
Some logging as taken place recently, so navigation was a little confusing. Basically, continue straight on foot at the end of Joslin Road. Upon reaching a field, follow the road left. Soon thereafter, there is a 5 way junction - go straight. Pretty straightforward after this.

Looking north at Crotched Mountain and Mt. Kearsage from Winn Mountain
Directions to trailhead: From US 202 in Peterborough, take Sand Hill Road east. Sand Hill Road eventually becomes Mountain Road. Soon thereafter, at a height of land, the Wapack Refuge parking lot and trailhead will be on the right.
