Looking up the Libby Trail
Route: Libby Trail, (Green Mountain), Libby Trail, Hanson Top Trail, (Hanson Top), Hanson Top Trail, Libby Trail
Trails were mostly dry and in good shape, though a quick moving shower moistened things up a bit.
Good views east, south, and west from the firetower, but the treetops have obscured most of the White Mountain views from the top deck (cab was closed).
Hanson Top Trail is quasi-new since my last time up...it's heavily blazed (light blue) and roughly follows the old path, though it starts slightly further up the Libby Trail. Good views south from the ledge at the end of that trail, as well as a peak at the firetower over the treetops. I also noted some flagging heading northwest from the ledge...a future trail perhaps?

Directions to trailhead: Take Green Mountain Road from Route 25. Bear left onto Champion Road. Libby Road will be shortly thereafter on the left (dirt road, small firetower sign). The road is a bit rough (Class IV). Trailhead is at the top of the hill on the left.
