 Summary
Pleasant Mountain, located in the middle of a small range in western Maine, hosts Shawnee Peak ski area on it's northern face. The summit features a ledge with excellent views to the west and north, as well as other directions if one is willing to climb up the stairway of the closed firetower. Loon Echo Land Trust is currently embarking upon a conservation and improvement program for the Pleasant Mountain area.
